You are cordially invited to our behind the scenes of The Knot Gala! We anticipate this event every year and we are so honored to attend. In year's past we have done the hair and make up for the editors and staff but, this year we had the pleasure of just attending. No work and ALL play! I have to admit, we secretly love the behind the scenes chaos of prepping everyone for the big event but, it was nice to not be tired and throwing on a gown to take part in the festivities. This year we got to enjoy the day in the city shopping and then beautifying ourselves before we headed out for the night!
The theme changes every year and it is ALWAYS quite the spectacle. The excitement is always building from the moment you step into line to be checked in at the door. An AMAZING display of florals and visual art is always a show stopper to a passerby. "I wonder what could be inside!."
Excuse me while I digress for a moment. I totally took a stalker picture of Iris Apfel! She is an Interior designer and fashion icon! SHe has done amazing things in her career and I need to give her a quick shout out and mention how amazing she looks heading out for a night on the town at the age of 98! What an inspiring career and inspiration to many busines women.
As always, they did not dissapoint. The theme of the night was "Meet Me By The Moon: Midsummernight's Dream." I was pretty obsessed with this avant garde head piece.
If only it was pink lighting! Kristen's first time to The Knot Gala! She is also engaged so I am sure she was loving all things weddings! Kristen is our newest member to our office staff so if you are a newly booked client, you might have spoken or emailed. What a way to kick off her new position! Thanks for coming Kristen.
The food displays were quite interactive. I wasn't sure about the balls of food but, it was very mystical and fit the theme. Everything we saw sparked new and intriguing conversation which is always one of my favorite parts as we stroll through the venue exploring what we would find next!
The New York public library is always a perfect venue for this event and any event for that matter. Every year we are always amazed by the theme and displays. The amount of though and detail is appreciated on so many levels. What a great way to wrap up NY Bridal fashion week. We met so many other amazing wedding vendors and ended the night on the dance floor celebrating another year of hard work. We love working with The Knot and we want to say THANK YOU to so many of our brides that find us through their website. It is pretty amazing the amount of people that can come together and create so many life experiences that are unfortgettable. From the Beauty Entourage fam we are so grateful to be apart of The Knot Family.
