The best make up start is the right base.  With problem areas, color correcting products can make all the difference disguising unwanted bruises, blemishes, dark spots, and under-eye circles. In a variety of colors unexpected to be using for make up, these can often be intimidating, but in reality are so simple to use! Our make up artists went through the essentials in color correcting cosmetics.

A great example of a recent color correction by Britt B on our CT team is this fresh bruise for a beautiful client on her daughter’s wedding day. After a light moisturizer, a primer geared toward the client’s skin tone is applied for the base before applying.

By using the purple concealer on the bruise, the yellow-brown tones were neutralized. Using a beauty blender and blending foundation directly on top of the corrector the concealer is transformed into the natural skin tone of the client with flawless coverage.

The final step to this process is a brightening finishing powder to set, using a beauty blender and firmly pressing the powder into the skin, bye bye bruise!
