We love award season! The hair. The make up. The gowns. The GLAMOUR!
After the EMMY Awards on Sunday, we were inspired to create our own photo shoot here in the headquarters today for hair and make up trends on the red carpet!
The theme of the night was vintage glam waves and slicked back hair. Make up was a mix of neutral with a pop of color and the always popular smokey eye look. With Ashley on hair and make up artist Cathy taking the lead on make up, we created two looks to replicate some of the best looking celebrities!

Hair was full glam waves with vintage inspired volume!
Set the hair with a mermaid twist to give more of the "S" pattern in the wave. By setting the hair it allows hair to cool down and holds the curl longer. For hold, use our own Triple Threat Hairspray on each section before curling.
Create a deep part and curl in the direction away from the part and keeping it tighter around the frame of the face. Once it cools, take the clips out and brush out the curls, reform the waves to create softness but keep definition in the curls.
Finishing Touches: Use Reflect Shine Spray to refine the look and help minimize frizz.

Make up on the red carpet introduced fun pops of color such as teal and shades of blue. On our model, Cathy used MAC Chromaline in Marine Ultra and Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow in Metal.
- When applying a pop of color such as blue, use an angled brush from outer corner working your way in to line the eyes. Blue is a color that looks good on everyone, great for night or day!
- For an evening look, adding a metallic eyeshadow makes a color such as blue pop and creates dimension on the lid.
