Beauty Prep Leading Up To The Big Day!

The big day is getting so close and now it's time for your beauty prep!

I always recommend to do your beauty preparation approx. 2 weeks from the date because of a few things. It is close enough that it will all still look fresh but, not to close that if there are any mishaps, you have time to fix it. Here are the list of things to get done in this time frame.

beauty entourage hair cut ends

Hair Color and Hair Cut~ Retouch your hi light or color and get a trim. Depending on how often you upkeep your haircuts I would recommend trimming a 1/2 inch. You don't want to go a long time in between your haircuts so ideally you should be trimming at least every 8-12 weeks for longer hair and 6-8 weeks for short to medium hair. If you are on that regular schedule you should be fine with a trim or even just a shaping. I hear all the time, "I'm growing my hair out for the wedding." That is great, but, don't let it go completely.. Split ends do not curl well and are also prone to frizzing. Regular trims will ensure healthy hair leading up to the wedding day. If you are wearing your hair up, you might consider getting a full hi light retouched as well.

beauty entourage lip wax

Facial Waxing~ If you have never waxed before I would go a month out just to make sure you don't have any allergic reactions. Otherwise, 1-2 weeks before the wedding is ideal.

Massage~ Treat yourself!! Get a massage. Planning a wedding can be stressful and the days winding down with final small details can add to it. Take a day to yourself and relax!

Tanning/Airbrush~ Tanning Leading up to the date you might consider tanning options, If so here are a few tips. You want to begin tanning 6-8 weeks from the date. Only going 2-3 times a week to build up your tan and prevent burning. If you opt for Airbrush tanning, try it out first! At least a month or so before the date go for a test run. All products are different and may or may not be the right choice for you. Airbrush Tanning lasts up to 7 days. Before the event I would do the airbrush tan 2-3 days out.

Nails~ 2-3 days from the wedding get your nails done! I would recommend the gel polishes because they are cured with a UV and aren't as prone to chipping.

beauty entourage facial and massage

Facial~ Facials are great to remove any dead skin and kick the dryness. Exfoliating your skin well will result in a better make up application. I would stick to a basic facial. Anything to invasive shouldn't be done to close to the date.

Follow these tips and you will be all beauty prepped for your big day with no unexpected issues.
