Have we mentined lately how much we love lipsticks?

With so many choices, what is often overlooked is the proper prep for your pout so your lipstick stays smooth all day. With just a few tips and tricks your lip color will give you that coveted plump look everyone wants to achieve!

Prep:

Our lips are very sensitive. With any change in weather, lack of hydration or constant use of lip products, the skin can dry out extremely easily. If you find yourself applying chap stick over and over, consider starting with a smooth base. First, always make sure you are drinking water! At least 8 glasses a day! 

Next, choose an exfoliant. We are a fan of Jeffree Star's Velour Lip Scrub because it is all natural, vegan, and never tested on animals. Plus, the flavors are so delicious you can use it as a mid-day treat! 

Moisturize:

Once you have sloughed off the dead skin, it's time to rejuvinate and add back any moisture lost during our normal daily routine. Josie Maran's line of argan oil products offers an Intensive Creamy Oil which is perfect for locking in hydration, filling in lines and smoothing out any roughness. This multi-purposed product can be used to treat skin on other areas as well. It's definitley on our spring essential list!

Line:

When done right, lip liner can create that signature Kylie Jenner bold pout and also hold your lip color longer. We have to give our top pick here to MAC as a smooth, blendable pencil that easily lines your lips and creates the perfect base for your color. You will be amazed how much longer your lipstick lasts and does not smudge away from your lips. A must for a girl's night out!

Color:
